According to ME News, on January 7th (UTC+8), Fusion released a security update: the Arbitrum network's USDC Fusion Optimizer vault was attacked. The IPOR team was notified on January 6th that a vulnerability resulted in the loss of $336,000 worth of USDC. This exploit targeted a specific older version of the Fusion Vault. Due to its unique configuration, this was the only vault vulnerable to this specific attack method. The loss represents less than 1% of the total funds guaranteed by Fusion. Fusion is working with the Security Alliance to track down and recover the funds. The IPOR DAO will replenish the funds from the vault. All affected depositors will receive full compensation.
