River 24-hour trading volume tops $3.5B amid Arthur Hayes backing

The chain abstraction stablecoin platform River (RIVER) has recorded over $3.5 billion in trading volume across major global exchanges in the past 24 hours. The volume is concentrated on Binance's perpetual futures market, where its daily volume of approximately $2 billion has surpassed that of SUI, DOGE, and PEPE. The surge follows a Jan. 5 investment in River from Maelstrom, the family office of BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes. After the announcement, RIVER's price rallied approximately 36% from $19 to around $26. Hayes mentioned on X that RIVER could be listed on more exchanges and noted in a recent blog post, titled 'Suavemente,' that he is pursuing an investment strategy in privacy and DeFi altcoins. According to CoinMarketCap, RIVER is trading at $19.34, up 29.71% over the past 24 hours.
