U.S. nonfarm payroll data is derived from a sample survey of U.S. businesses, government agencies, and the non-agricultural sector. The U.S. Department of Labor releases the nonfarm payroll data report for the previous month on the first Friday of each month.
At the same time, the US unemployment rate for December will also be released, expected to be 4.50%, compared to 4.60% previously.
