People keep pointing to crypto-specific hardware as the way to close the gap between MPC/FHE/ZK and plain computation.
Honest question:
Is there any reason to believe cryptography-specific hardware will outpace AI-specific hardware?
Or that AI computation can’t be accelerated just as aggressively?
If not, hardware doesn’t close the gap. It just moves everything forward.
