Caroline Ellison, former CEO of Alameda Research, is expected to be officially released from federal supervision on January 21, 2026. Prior to this, Ellison was transferred from federal prison to community supervision, marking the final stage of her sentence related to financial misconduct within the FTX & Alameda ecosystem.

Despite her release, Caroline Ellison remains subject to strict legal restrictions. Under an agreement with authorities, she accepted a 10-year ban from holding senior executive or managerial positions at public companies or cryptocurrency exchanges.
This ban aims to prevent Ellison from returning to influential positions in the financial and crypto sectors, and is XEM as part of a deterrent and market protection effort following the serious repercussions of the FTX collapse.
