Busan-based Anam145 has joined Woori Financial Group's startup incubation program, "Dino Lab Busan 2nd," and will begin full-scale collaboration to demonstrate and commercialize blockchain and stablecoin security needs in Busan.
Anam145 announced on the 23rd that it plans to participate in the second phase of Dino Lab Busan and expand collaboration with Woori Financial Group affiliates and regional financial and public institutions. Founded by researchers from Korea University's Graduate School of Information Security and Department of Cyber Defense, the company prioritizes a security architecture that integrates digital wallets, fraud detection, and terminal security into a single workflow.
Anam 145 has focused on translating its research findings into practical, operational technologies for financial and public sectors, rather than leaving them confined to the laboratory. Busan was chosen as its base because digital asset verification and public service application are taking place primarily in the Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone.
Anam145's collaboration with Woori Financial Group in Busan stems from the city's evolving role as a testbed for combining digital assets and cybersecurity with traditional financial infrastructure. The combination of a Busan-based cybersecurity company with global experience and Woori Financial Group's financial infrastructure is expected to catalyze the city's digital financial innovation to the next level.
Anam145 is also collaborating with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to conduct a demonstration of digital wallets and payment infrastructure in Africa. In areas with limited cash access, they have implemented a system where subsidies are delivered via digital wallets and transaction history is transparently managed. This demonstrates that digital assets can function as payment and administrative infrastructure in everyday life, transcending mere investment vehicles.
Meanwhile, Woori Financial Group held the inaugural ceremonies for "Dino Lab Busan 2" and "Dino Lab Gyeongnam 3" in Busan and Gyeongnam on the 21st and 22nd, announcing its plan to pursue shared growth with local innovative companies. Six companies were selected for Dino Lab Busan 2, including Anam135, Sandberg (AI document screening decision-making), SYU (business automation ERP), FXIP (IP/brand commercialization), Elva (AI video production), and Oncleve (virtual asset anti-money laundering). Woori Financial Group plans to continue providing tailored support to these selected companies to help them become competitive in the global market beyond their local bases. To date, Dino Lab has invested approximately KRW 400 billion in 219 companies and formed over 60 partnerships, expanding into a productive financial platform.
