This! @tkstanczak gets it 100%. There's no way that anyone reads Vitalik's latest post on special state and not think that that's precisely what rollups do, and that's what we will get when we have atomic composition. No point in complicating L1 when L2 *should* solve this.

why don't we drop the built-in stateless effort in L1 that is so complex (and against the idea of simplicity) and accept that we do have a solution for state scaling and it is exactly L2s and that is mostly how L2s scale L1?
