Vitalik commented on "ENSv2 will be fully deployed on Ethereum L1": A wise decision

According to Foresight News , Vitalik Buterin commented on the news that "ENS has stopped developing its L2 Namechain, and v2 will be deployed directly on the Ethereum mainnet," saying, "This is a wise decision. ENS domains and records are the core state of the Ethereum ecosystem. I believe the best architecture for decentralized identity and social (which I think ENS is in) is to store this kind of account and profile data for each user on L1 and use a dedicated L2 (which is probably much simpler than a full EVM) to handle user actions (e.g., actions on social platforms)."
