According to Foresight News , blockchain infrastructure provider Espresso announced plans to integrate with Gate Layer. This collaboration aims to leverage Espresso's technical architecture to provide Gate Layer with rapid finality confirmation and scalable data availability (DA) support. Espresso will launch an airdrop for Gate Layer users.
Gate Layer is a high-performance, EVM-compatible L2 layer built by Gate using the OP Stack. Unlike most L2 layers that settle to Ethereum, Gate Layer settles to and is protected by Gate Chain (Gate's own L1 layer). Espresso states that this integration reflects its network's "chain-agnostic" design philosophy. This means that regardless of whether the Rollups network ultimately chooses to settle on Ethereum or another network, it can access the Espresso infrastructure to improve performance.
