What do you think a bank teller's daily routine is like? Counting banknotes, processing deposits, providing smiling service... Who would have thought that in 2026, they would need to evolve into "psychological counselors for cryptocurrency victims"?
A recent post on Dcard's financial forum, where a bank teller pleaded for help, sparked a discussion in the community. The post was short but accurately described the state of a retail investor who had lost money in trading and wanted to seek justice and vent their emotions. While the logic was completely illogical, the emotions were understandable.
The following is the original text.

Something incredibly outrageous happened today.
An older woman rushed into the counter and burst into tears in front of me, saying she had lost all her Bitcoin.
Ask me if I can help her get the money back.
Sister, I'm just a bank teller, not a hacker or God! (despair)
She said that last year she saw news that Bitcoin would rise in value, so she invested all of her 2 million yuan retirement savings into it, and now she only has 1.2 million yuan left.
I'm so frustrated. Who told you to bet your entire fortune in the first place?
Besides, what you bought on the exchange has absolutely nothing to do with our bank, so how can I help you?
There were a bunch of customers queuing up next to her, and she was crying there, making the whole branch atmosphere extremely awkward.
The supervisor came over and talked for half an hour before calming her down.
Then another person came in the afternoon saying that his account had been frozen by the exchange and he couldn't withdraw his money, asking if we could call the police.
Dude, that's your own problem, don't make things difficult for the teller, okay? (feeling exasperated)
Recently, we've had a lot of customers like this – a bunch of people who lost money investing and are now causing trouble at the bank.
Please do your research before investing, don't blame others after you've lost money.
I just want to go to and from get off work in a normal way, I don't want to be a punching bag!
