Infura/Alchemy have really bad UX if you interact with many chains because you need to maintain custom chain slug mappings.
but fortunately @routemesh exists now and their RPC URLs are deterministic (they use only chain IDs):

If your API supports multiple EVM chains:
✅ Use chain IDs in the URL (e.g. 10 for Optimism)
❌ Don’t use slugs (optimism / op-mainnet)
Chain IDs are deterministic and standardized.
