Payments giant Stripe introduced an integration for the x402 protocol, enabling autonomous agents to settle microtransactions via USDC on the Base network. The launch came amid a Bloomberg report that Stripe is arranging a tender offer at a $140B valuation, up $33B from last year’s $107B. Simultaneously, CoinGecko enabled x402 on its API. Agents can access price and onchain data for $0.01 USDC per request, with no API key, according to a statement. Full report ⤵️
