It was always just the packaging around the writing: > the doc nobody read > the deck you built for a decision you'd already made > the memo you wrote because meetings feel messy > the tenth wording tweak to find a vibe The work didn't disappear, it moved upstream: > picking the right problem > setting constraints that don't lie > noticing what's missing from the context > verifying what's true when the text is effortlessly plausible > being accountable when the model is wrong I've been watching this from the infra side. Every one of those "10 decent drafts in a minute" burns compute that isn't getting cheaper... generation got commoditized, but the GPUs running it didn't. You're not frozen because AI made your work silly... you're frozen because the bottleneck moved and you're staring at the old one.

i’d be lying if i said i haven’t started to feel a little bit of “singularity paralysis” where doing most digital work has started to feel a tad bit silly. it’s getting weird.
