Went back to China for the spring festival and got completely shocked. My older relatives are all using ByteDance's AI app "Doubao" like absolute pros. opened Douyin (CN TikTok) and my entire feed is just people memeing with it.
It made me realize winning the consumer AI war is
SaaS has never thrived in the other side of the world ie China, Japan, Korea. my PoV is that Japan will be the most ai resistant destination in next 50yrs when it comes to middle class's life impact, China & Korea will be ultra AI fluent but mostly in consumer & entertainment
