Four years ago I nearly was in Kyiv at the start of Russia's full scale invasion. But by luck I was invited to the Satoshi Roundtable, and missed it. This year Satoshi Roundtable was held a few weeks ago at The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, which just got hit by Russia's ally Iran. The organizer of Satoshi Roundtable, @brucefenton, responded to the invasion with a ridiculous "anti-war" stance that basically wanted Ukraine to just surrender. Now Iran – whose Shahed drones I've personally seen attacking Ukraine, not to mention repeatedly trying to kill friends of mine – has come uncomfortably close to hitting his conference venue. There's a lesson to be learned here... You achieve peace and safety via destroying our enemies. Not rolling over endlessly.
