Marketing is dead, GTM Engineering is the way out
I’ve worked in tech, SaaS and crypto marketing for 5+ years.
What’s happening now with LLMs and Claude is both scary and exciting.
The old playbook is breaking:
> Teams are shrinking
> Agencies are struggling
> Roles that felt essential a year ago are getting automated
But marketing is not going away. It’s evolving into GTM engineering.
Imagine this:
> One GTM engineer
> A chief of staff agent
> Under that, specialized agents for research, design, content, distribution
You talk to the chief of staff. It coordinates the rest.
What 15 to 20 people did last year can now be done by one sharp operator who knows how to deploy agents well.
Short term, this is disruptive. Long term, this is powerful.
I’m figuring out from scratch. Trying to understand this new stack.
