The system is completely broken. Passwords and usernames need to go away. Using the same email needs to go away.
Private and anonymous must be the future. Any other system deign will just cause the same issues.

Wild that one breach can follow you for a decade.
You gave a company your email once in 2019.
They get hacked in 2026.
Now 400k profiles are floating around.
And the response is basically:
“Have you tried… changing your password?”
