Content marketing is dying. GTM engineering is rising.
Growth marketing has the biggest advantage in this shift:
I’m in marketing since 2020. Before that I coded a bit, enough to understand automations & tools.
But what always pulled me was research, writing, visuals, taking, distilling complex ideas into something simple.
Content marketing felt perfect for that.
Growth marketing was already booming. I even took a course by @VaibhavSisinty.
Still, I chose content because creativity attracted me more than tools.
But today, almost every good writer & creator use LLMs. Claude, GPT & others.
The magic boxes can scan hundreds of sources & generate structured drafts in secs.
With good prompting, they can even write close to one’s style.
So the role of a “pure content marketer” is shrinking.
What’s replacing it is growth marketing evolving into GTM engineering.
A GTM engineer simply orchestrates AI tools & workflows to run research, content & distribution at scale.
Growth marketers were always close to this world:
> They experiment with tools
> Automate workflows
> Obsess over growth, distribution & revenue
> Creating systems which will produce content
One person can now do the work of an entire marketing team.
Growth marketers sit at the intersection of tech, marketing & sales
…and that hybrid skillset fits perfectly into this new world.
If you want to be within Top 1% Marketing professional, pivot to Growth Marketing now.
