Studio 02, Pt. 2: Working primarily in sculpture, installation, performance and text, Louis Osmosis takes a speculative approach to form to interrogate systems of representation, duration, and continuity that enact contemporary culture. Osmosis’s sculptural objects operate as proxies that toggle between various affects and constructed scenes to engender what he calls a “dramaturgy of discrepancies” and a poetics of discontinuity. His studio in Chinatown NY is, in his words, “an endearing OSHA nightmare, and therefore, the perfect place to try and make something as equally petty and redundant as the world is.” *All political views of the doorman are the doorman’s alone and not the artist’s* Louis showed TITLES around.
