Trump: Will send warships with allies to provide escort in the Strait of Hormuz

On March 14, Trump posted on Truth Social, stating that many countries, particularly those affected by Iran's attempt to block the Strait of Hormuz, would join the United States in sending warships to ensure the strait's unimpeded passage and security. "We have utterly destroyed Iran's military capabilities, but no matter how badly they are defeated, they can still easily send a drone or two, lay mines, or launch short-range missiles along the coast or within the Strait of Hormuz. We hope that France, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and other countries affected by this man-made blockade will send warships to the region, freeing the Strait of Hormuz from the threat of this utterly destroyed nation. Meanwhile, the United States will launch heavy bombardments of the coastline and continue to sink Iranian ships.
