🛢️ OIL UPDATES 🔹 President Trump said the White House would soon announce a coalition of nations to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. However, he also expressed disappointment that some US allies have shown little enthusiasm to participate, despite decades of US protection. 🔹 Meanwhile, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the US is currently allowing Iranian oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Despite Iran's attacks on commercial ships in the Persian Gulf, Iran still exports approximately 1.5 million barrels of oil per day through the strait, equivalent to about 10% of the normal total traffic through this route. Bessent believes oil prices could fall below $80 once the conflict ends and global supply stabilizes. 🔹 Oil prices have fallen slightly, dropping about 5% to around $94. 🔹 President Trump warned that if Iran continues to attack oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, the United States may target Iran's oil infrastructure next.
