There’s a curse of productivity that I don’t think is possible to turn off.
Once you derive your dopamine and happiness from working, it’s very hard to flip that switch off. Nothing really comes close to the feeling of true progress toward your goals.
That’s why my home lifestyle is currently very isolated. I don’t go out typically. I don’t drink. I’ve removed pretty much all distractions except for work and gym. There’s a level of discipline and focus that through action just makes you feel amazing.
But as soon as I travel all the momentum falls off because typically I end up going out with friends/drinking/not really working. So my motivation drops. Knowing I’m not reaching my potential every day is brutal. There’s no real off switch when you’re responsible for your own destiny. No clocking off Friday to Sunday because your fate is in your hands.
So after a few days of this compounding the curse of productivity takes course.
I haven’t really figured out a good solution to this. Maybe there isn’t one. Maybe this is just how it is when you choose this path.
I’ll let you know when I figure it out. Time to get momentum back. As we know, action is the antidote.

Don’t worry, if you have half a brain and allow yourself to listen to something higher, you’ll grow out of it and ultimately get bored of it.
Study peaceful life over greed and soulmaxxing.
