According to ChainCatcher, Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated on the X platform that the regulatory agency has released a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) regarding crypto assets and blockchain-related businesses, further clarifying compliance guidelines for registered institutions and trading entities.
It is understood that the content involves issues such as tokenized collateral and digital assets as margin, and supplements the explanations of the two previously released employee letters (the Tokenized Custody Guidelines and the Guidelines on No Action Exemption for Digital Asset Margin), providing market participants with a clearer operational framework.
Mike Selig added that with "Project Crypto" becoming a jointly promoted project, aligning with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), it is also an important step towards clarifying and unifying crypto regulatory rules.
