According to Foresight News , Claude tweeted that users can now use Claude to operate their computers and complete tasks. This feature allows for any desktop operation, such as opening applications, browsing the web, and filling out spreadsheets. Currently in research preview, it only supports macOS and is available in Claude Cowork and Claude Code.
Claude prioritizes using connected integrated apps (such as Slack and Calendar). When the required tool lacks a connector, it requests user permission to open the app directly on the screen. Users can assign tasks on their phone and leave, viewing the results on their computer upon completion. Recurring tasks can also be set, such as having Claude scan emails every morning or retrieve reports every Friday. This feature is currently only available to Pro and Max users.
