Tencent poached several key members of ByteDance Seed, who now report directly to Yao Shunyu.

According to Mars Finance on March 24, Tencent has recently poached several core technical personnel from ByteDance's Seed team. These individuals report directly to Tencent's Chief AI Scientist, Yao Shunyu. The key personnel joining Tencent include Xiao Xuefeng, former head of ByteDance Seed's visual AI platform; Zhang Chi from the Infra team; Huang Qi, head of the training Infra group; and Yuan Yufeng, head of the RL algorithm group. Xiao Xuefeng will serve as assistant head of Tencent's newly established AI Infra department, assisting Yao Shunyu in managing the department.
