According to 1M AI News , *Intelligent Emergence* exclusively reports that Xiao Xuefeng, former head of the ByteDance Seed visual AI platform team, and Zhang Chi, a member of the Infra team, have recently joined Tencent to be responsible for large-scale model Infra-related work, reporting to Tencent's Chief AI Scientist Yao Shunyu. The report mentions that Tencent will establish a new AI Infra Department at the end of 2025, headed by Yao Shunyu, with Xiao Xuefeng directly serving as its assistant head after joining. Huang Qi, head of the Training Infra group, and Yuan Yufeng, head of the RL algorithm group in the Large Language Model Department, also come from the ByteDance Seed team.

The same report also mentioned that Zhang Chi's new position within Tencent is head of the RL Infra group in the Large Language Model Department. Tencent has not yet responded as of press time.
