According to Foresight News , AI-powered game creation platform Verse8 has raised $5 million in seed funding. Participants included Story Foundation, NEXPACE (Nexon's Web3 division), Neowiz, MARBLEX (Netmarble's Web3 division), Solarium Labs, and NEXUS. The new funding will be used to advance Verse8's core AI system, expand creator onboarding and incentive programs, and extend its publishing and distribution infrastructure.
Founded by JC Kim and Kevin Lee, Verse8 allows creators to generate fully playable multiplayer games in minutes using natural language prompts, without writing code, installing engines, or assembling large production teams. Since its launch in July 2024, Verse8 has had over 3.5 million monthly active users and more than 5,000 active creators, generating over 25,000 games.
