According to Foresight News , the non-profit European Crypto Initiative (EUCI) announced at the EthCC[9] conference that it has officially changed its name to the European Ethereum Institute (EEI). It stated that Ethereum has become a core infrastructure layer of the European digital economy, and this name change aims to align with this reality.
EEI positions itself as a policy research institution for the public infrastructure of Europe's digital future. It will provide independent, evidence-based analysis to explore regulatory issues affecting Ethereum, its developers, and users, connect protocol developers, civil society, businesses, and policymakers, and translate technological realities into actionable policy recommendations.
