I believe that in cryptocurrencies, you shouldn't really look for a "vision." This is because executing a vision takes a considerable amount of time, and the chances of success are not high. However, personally, I find investing in "romance" somewhat fun. Of course, this "romance" doesn't apply to early-stage coins. Until I see the team actually working, I act according to the manifesto I wrote in the past. Even if they bring out a roadmap or white paper, I believe it is not too late to invest later when it seems likely to succeed, after observing whether they have the will to execute the roadmap to a certain extent or if they intend to monopolize everything for themselves. Personally, I consider Ethena and Hyperliquid to fit my criteria in this regard. As you can see from my previous posts, I tend to be negative toward Ethena and Hyperliquid. The reason is that I always shun early-stage projects that come with big dreams. In the case of Ethena, in particular, I couldn't help but be wary because what they initially presented was an interest-paying stable. However, the more I look at their actions, the more they seem genuinely committed to stable expansion, to the point of resembling Luna quite a bit. Of course, in this situation, there is no time to worry about ENA. I did have a slight expectation, so I bought as much as I could afford and locked it up. Recently, I sold my holdings with a small stop loss and shifted my position to farming. The reason for this is that buying coins isn't the only answer. Most altcoins have ways to farm. SUI, Aptos, HyperLiquid, Ethena, Inisia, and others all have farming opportunities. You can either hold them in stables or actively participate in the ecosystem. Tokens with these farming opportunities often hold up better than expected or even rise, despite the massive amount of tokens being released. This happens when holders have faith in the team, even though they are being distributed so heavily. There are also expert investors who farm in multiple places without selling (due to a vision? Or because the price has dropped too much?). My mindset is simply to keep accumulating what I've gathered through farming. After all, even if the interest rate is low, I believe it is better than investing in most stocks if just one out of several hits the jackpot. Therefore, you don't necessarily have to stick to buying as your investment strategy. If you do buy, you must accurately know your average purchase price and pay close attention to the changing P&L. So, actually, just accumulating points is the best approach; however, people sometimes end up buying out of impatience, fearing a massive surge, or simply because they lack sufficient capital. But regardless of capital, making a big bet on something means you must accept a corresponding level of financial loss. In the case of Luna, it plummeted through the first year or two, suffering immensely, before eventually soaring. That shows just how true it is to invest slowly over a long timeframe when looking for a vision-driven project. SUY is also a prime example of a coin with massive unlocking. They distributed a huge amount in the beginning, and they are still distributing a significant amount now. It still boasts interest rates ranging from tens to hundreds of percent (even until recently, I was only farming Sui). Nevertheless, it has been rising tremendously since recently, marking two years since its launch. It is remarkable, even considering its high market cap. Those who have consistently farmed Sui from the beginning continue to build trust until they reach a level where they can use Sui to take out loans or make deposits to receive other coins within the Sui ecosystem, and then hold them again. Even in the early days, these people just farm endlessly. I know the answer to this, too... but driven by a greed for ten-baggers, I buy occasionally only to sell quickly. I tell myself, "Let's make one last moderate bet this time," but then just blow it all away. I didn't trust Ethena in the beginning, but since I understand what it is trying to achieve, I am farming it. Of course, I was late in farming. It’s partly because I was too cautious in the beginning and didn’t invest any money... but there are still plenty of places to farm. That is because Ethena currently pays absolutely no attention to ENA. They are currently using ENA as a subsidy to distribute USDe, but I believe there will be many airdrops once the ecosystem they envision actually emerges. Even now, they are in a symbiotic relationship, receiving stakes in Ethereal (which hasn't been released yet...?), Derive (garbage, nobody uses it), and Echelon (which is actually quite clever). I think they will release a lot once Converge works properly and they determine that it is truly suitable for speed and multiple chains. And I also think they might give their own tokens to ENA holders when they launch. But their handling of things is so terrible that it seems like it will take a while. So, I just farm with USDe. I'm considering looping or just using YT to speed up farming, as I see it as cheaper than cutting my losses. It seems easier to pay just a portion in interest or mine for free than to have my value cut in half.
