According to ChainCatcher, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that he will personally engage in research on Bitcoin's quantum resistance issues, adding that the industry needs to push for a solution as soon as possible.
Coinbase Chief Security Officer Philip Martin previously pointed out that as quantum computing research progresses, the industry needs to accelerate its response to potential threats. He stated that post-quantum cryptography is feasible but still in its early stages, and hasty implementation could introduce new security risks. Furthermore, consensus needs to be reached on issues such as how to handle wallets that have not yet completed their migration. In addition, Coinbase has undertaken related infrastructure upgrades and research, and is encouraging developers and the community to collaborate on quantum-resistant solutions.
