America is not a lineage. America is a choice. That dream is for anyone who chooses to pursue it. It was founded to escape the exclusion and multi-class systems of the old world, that said you had to be or think a certain way to belong. In America, you belong, on the basis of choice. If you make that choice, it is yours to pursue, as equally as anyone else. We are all equal here under the Constitution.
