Devido aos danos causados pela tempestade Therese no mês passado, que provocou ventos fortes, chuvas intensas, inundações, deslizamentos e cortes de estradas nas Ilhas Canárias, os organizadores do WRC Rally Islas Canarias (23-26 de abril de 2026) tiveram de alterar o itinerário da sexta-feira em Gran Canaria: a especial Valleseco - Artenara1 foi encurtada em dois quilômetros (agora com 13,13 km) e iniciará mais adiante no percurso; a etapa Tejeda - San Mateo (20,69 km) foi reposicionada como terceira do dia; e a Morgan - La Aldea (21,80 km) será a última, com o sentido invertido.
O roteiro de sábado e domingo permanece inalterado, mantendo-se um loop de três etapas na sexta. Além disso, já havia sido confirmada anteriormente a substituição de uma etapa no Circuito Islas Canarias por um superespecial no Estádio Gran Canaria, em Las Palmas, com disputa lado a lado dentro do estádio de 30 mil lugares, realizado duas vezes (quinta e sexta).

Due to the damage caused by Storm Therese last month, which brought strong winds, heavy rain, flooding, landslides and road closures to the Canary Islands, the organizers of the WRC Rally Islas Canarias (April 23-26, 2026) have had to alter Friday's itinerary in Gran Canaria: the Valleseco - Artenara1 special stage has been shortened by two kilometers (now 13.13 km) and will start further along the route; the Tejeda - San Mateo stage (20.69 km) has been repositioned as the third stage of the day; and the Morgan - La Aldea stage (21.80 km) will be the last, with the direction reversed.
