the people in bali are truly on another level of kindness 🇮🇩
today, i visited a physiotherapy clinic in ubud to deal with some persistent osgood-schlatter disease and shoulder pain. i had messaged them earlier and received a quote of roughly $20 per session - a steal, i thought, for professional help.
when i arrived, the therapists listened carefully to my history and ran a few diagnostic tests. their assessment was blunt but honest: they could release the immediate pressure, but the real solution required a long-term commitment to specific exercises. no instant fix.
we spent about 30 minutes going through the movements and theory. when i walked up to the counter to pay, expecting to settle the bill, they surprised me. they refused to take my money. since we had focused on "theory and consultation" rather than a full treatment session, they insisted the visit was free.
it’s moments like these that make you realize why everyone falls in love with the balinese spirit ❤️
This is dope man
