Amit Shah assures Matuas on citizenship, targets Mamata

Kolkata: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said the Matua and Namasudra communities lie at the heart of the BJP and assured them that citizenship will be provided once the party comes to power. Addressing a campaign rally in Jamalpur in Purba Bardhhaman district, Shah alleged that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been misleading the Matua community by claiming that the BJP would take away their voting rights if voted to power. "This is absolutely false," Shah said.
