Charles Schwab begins rolling out spot crypto trading services to US retail customers
Charles Schwab has rolled out its "Schwab Crypto" service to US retail clients in phases, supporting spot trading of Bitcoin and Ethereum with a 0.75% fee per transaction. Custody is handled by Charles Schwab Premier Bank, and the underlying service is provided by Paxos. The company currently manages approximately $12 trillion in client assets, and its clients already hold about 20% of the US spot crypto ETFs. (FinanceFeeds)
According to its latest 13F filing, Jane Street significantly reduced its holdings in multiple Bitcoin-related assets in the first quarter of 2026. Its holdings in BlackRock's IBIT decreased by approximately 71% quarter-over-quarter, and its holdings in Fidelity FBTC decreased by approximately 60%. It also reduced its holdings in Strategy and several Bitcoin mining companies.
