Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Promoting the review and approval of national standardization guidance technical documents related to the application of automotive artificial intelligence technology, platform architecture, and the evaluation of large-scale vehicle models.

Mars Finance reported on May 26 that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released its key points for automotive standardization work in 2026. These include a systematic approach to automotive artificial intelligence (AI) standards. This includes advancing the review and approval of national standard guidance documents on automotive AI technology applications, platform architecture, and the evaluation of large-scale vehicle models; accelerating the development of national standard guidance documents on automotive AI risk assessment and governance, evaluation and testing of AI models related to driving automation, automotive AI information security and data security, and end-to-end model general development frameworks; promoting the establishment of standards for automotive AI intelligent classification; and initiating preliminary research on standards such as heterogeneous intelligent agent communication technology for vehicles.
