In just three days , Claude Fable 5 went from being publicly released to being forcibly removed from app stores by the US government. This morning (14th), Presidential Technology Advisor David Sacks offered a path to unblock it: by patching the jailbreak vulnerability, Fable could be "brought back online".
Soon after, a new betting market appeared on Polymarket a few hours ago: "When will Claude Fable 5 be available to US users again?" As of press time, the total trading volume on this prediction market is approximately $400,000. The market pricing for the three expiration dates is as follows:
- There is a 12% chance of recovery before June 15th.
- Recovery rate to 56% by June 22
- The recovery rate reached 75% before July 1st.

Jailbreak vulnerabilities and selective enforcement: Why Anthropic is dissatisfied.
According to an earlier report by Dongqu, David Sacks, co-chair of the U.S. President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, said the reason for the removal was that a highly trusted partner, trusted by both Anthropic and the U.S. government, found a way to bypass the jailbreak (referring to a trick model that bypasses built-in restrictions) while testing Fable.
However, Anthropic argues that this jailbreak is "narrow and not widespread," and that the same vulnerability exists in other publicly available models such as OpenAI's GPT-5.5, which are not subject to export controls. Anthropic believes that applying the standard of "recalling an entire commercial model due to a single narrow jailbreak" to the entire industry would be tantamount to freezing the deployment of all cutting-edge models.
