PANews reported on January 1 that according to the International Business Times (IBtimes), the U.S. court once again rejected the request of Binance founder and former CEO CZ(CZ) to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is the second time he has been banned from leaving the United States while awaiting sentencing there for violating banking laws. In addition, the U.S. Department of Justice raised multiple concerns about CZ's travel to the UAE, including the risk that he might flee the jurisdiction. In December, a U.S. court issued orders against Binance and CZ, requiring them to pay $2.7 billion and $150 million respectively to end a long-running enforcement action with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
