According to ChainCatcher, citing Cointelgraph, Justin Hyun, Investment Director of the TON Foundation, stated that Telegram Mini Apps will drive mass adoption of blockchain, bringing more users to the blockchain without requiring blockchain education, much like a Trojan horse. The goal is reportedly to have 500 million people on the blockchain by 2028.
According to Statista, Telegram is the world's third-largest messaging app by monthly downloads, currently boasting over 800 million monthly active users worldwide.
