Animoca Brands has announced its partnership with Saakuru Labs, the developer of the gasless blockchain protocol Saakuru. This partnership seeks to expand web3 gaming in Southeast Asia by addressing a key barrier: transaction fees.
By integrating the Saakuru Protocol into its gaming ecosystem, Animoca Brands aims to make web3 gaming more accessible by eliminating transaction fees, reducing barriers to entry and support its growth within the region.
With Saakuru Protocol’s no-fees and high-speed transactions, games can run without delays or extra charges for players.
More Projects Adopting Gasless Gaming
Yat Siu, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, explained that Southeast Asia is an important market for web3 adoption. “Gaming is one of the cornerstones of the open metaverse and of the Internet’s evolution toward true digital ownership. With its rapidly growing and tech-savvy population, the region of Southeast Asia is poised to become a leader in the adoption of Web3 technologies, and the partnership between Animoca Brands and Saakuru Labs will help to accelerate this exciting movement,” he said.
Several projects within Animoca Brands’ portfolio plan to use the Saakuru Protocol, including W3GG, GameFi.org, and GameGPT. These projects are part of a broader initiative to make web3 gaming more affordable and encourage wider adoption.
