I've thought about this. Judging from Musk's application of first principles throughout Tesla, first principles equals building a complete industry chain. So now Tesla does everything itself, from lithium and nickel mines → refining → battery cells → motors → casting → final assembly → charging network → energy storage → autonomous driving chips → humanoid robots. It's a full-stack hard technology empire.
