@DefiLlama LlamaAI is so hilariously good for the price. $50/month gets you the performance of a intern or junior analyst who yearns for nothing but your approval and is putting in 120hr weeks to get it. Giving money to a project I've used for free for years doesn't feel bad either.

Hacks almost always lead to an outsized drop of chain tvl as users get scared and withdraw from other protocols With LlamaAI I pulled the top 50 defi hacks and compared stolen amount with total 48h chain tvl drop, and on the median ~8x the hacked amount gets withdrawn from defi

Day 36: I highly recommend installing the DefiLlama Browser Extension. Earlier today, the Steakhouse app suffered a phishing attack. Thanks to DeFiLlama, when I tried to access its website, I instantly received a security warning. Phishing attacks are unfortunately extremely common in DeFi. The websites of Neutrl and Curvance, both of which have a fairly high TVL, were also hijacked earlier this year. If you interact with a dApp during a phishing attack, you could end up losing all your funds. Fortunately, the DeFiLlama Extension alerts you when most phishing attacks occur. And it’s free. seeing some ppl use this chart from openrouter as a way to track model usage at defillama we use openrouter but for some providers, the openrouter omnibus api key gets rate limited so we switched to our own account so theres structural bias in this chart against some models

a bunch of the work that we do for llamaswap is not seen because it's preventative and if everything works well there are no losses, so its not flashy at all i'm gonna start writing about it, realized that if i dont shill it nobody will ever know

someone just swapped $50m for $36k on cowswap through aave's frontend, effectively losing 50m if you try to make this swap on llamaswap the UI won't let you at all, buttons get locked we've spent years building a price API with the highest coverage of defi tokens to avoid this

I think ppl don't realize how bad the problem is with time-based token unlocks If the token has perps or can be borrowed anywhere, they can be hedged by shorting the token And that incentivizes team to make token price go down, as if it goes up their position blows up

They have a point tho, if you see stablecoins as a narrow bank (bank that doesnt lend) and money flows from other banks to this, it would cause a credit crunch across the economy and slow it down This is the reason why narrow banks are banned in the US

banks to congress: "if people can earn 3.5% on stablecoins, they'll pull $6.6 trillion out of our 0.1% accounts" yeah. that's called competition welcome to capitalism
