New! Thanks to @lamb356_, here’s BLAKE3 in portable WASM. It runs anywhere wasm does (which means all web browsers for starters), and in some cases it runs even *faster* than native, hardware-accelerated SHA256. Try it: lamb356.github.io/blake3-wasm

I agree that changes to consensus deserve scrutiny and open debate. That’s healthy, and it’s exactly how things are supposed to work. None of us are above criticism, and there should be a high bar for changes to the protocol. At the same time, one of Zcash’s strengths is that x.com/jswihart/statu…

I actually think it is super bullish that there are a higher number of ballots in this permissionless, encrypted Zcash poll than any previous poll, even though it is one of the most confusing UXes of any on-chain voting protocol. 😅

I have participated in countless on chain voting mechanisms and Zcash mechanism is one of the most confusing. I think it’s great that it exists, I just wish it was more straightforward.
