Would you give such a person a $100 bill and allow them to disappear for a minute in a dark alley to bring you pesos
You wouldn't, right? So why do you han thousands of dollars to Web3 Arbolitos disguised as the "fastest, cheapest bridge" ?
Why top protocols such as @arbitrum promote Web3 Arbolitos?
Do you know that Arbolitos currently dominate Ethereum interop space and protocols trying to build more trustless, secure alternatives are on the defence as users seemingly don't want to pay for security?
Is there hope ? I don't know, but we won't stop trying. If we fail to build trustless bridges, we have failed, Web3 will be taken over by corps and slowly but surely reduced to Web2 disguised as Web3 to extract more money from unsophisticated and hopeful retail users. As was always the case with tradicional finance.
