According to the Financial Times, President Trump is reportedly considering reducing some tariffs on steel and aluminum amid rising living costs. The White House is currently reviewing the existing tariff list, which stands at around 50%, and may exempt certain items, while limiting further expansion.

Goldman Sachs' Chief Legal Officer Kathryn Ruemmler announced she will resign at the end of June 2026 due to increasing media attention surrounding past emails between her and Jeffrey Epstein. This decision comes after articles in the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal, which highlighted intimate exchanges and past contacts between her and Epstein when she was his defense attorney. Ruemmler, who joined Goldman in 2020 and advised CEO David Solomon, said the matter had become a distraction for the company. Although she denies any wrongdoing and maintains she never legally represented Epstein, the renewed public scrutiny has led her to decide to leave her position, becoming one of the latest high-ranking figures to resign because of past connections with Epstein.

🔥 BITCOIN BEGINS PREPARING TO COUNTER THE THREAT FROM QUANTUM COMPUTERS Bitcoin developers have introduced a new proposal called BIP 360 into the official upgrade discussion process. The goal is to prepare Bitcoin for a future where extremely powerful quantum computers could break the current encryption system. This proposal introduces a new type of address called Pay to Merkle Root (P2MR), aimed at reducing the risk of private key leaks and limiting the possibility of asset theft. It works similarly to Taproot but removes a feature that could expose the public key, making it theoretically more secure. This doesn't mean Bitcoin is in danger right now, nor does it mean the change has already been implemented. Being included in the proposal list simply shows that developers are beginning serious discussions. This is XEM as a first step toward potentially adding quantum-resistant signatures later if needed.

🇨🇭 H100 Group AB has completed the acquisition of Future Holdings AG in Switzerland for SE6.89 million (approximately USD 771,000), paid for with newly issued shares. This transaction gives H100 100% ownership of Future Holdings. The additional share issuance resulted in a dilution of approximately 1% for shareholders. H100 currently holds 1,046 BTC and claims to be the largest Bitcoin holding company in the Nordic region, with backing from Adam Back of Blockstream.

VanEck stated that there are currently 13 governments directly mining Bitcoin at the central level, as BTC mining helps these countries utilize surplus energy while increasing flexibility and sovereignty.

Coinbase announced a technical issue, preventing users from buying and selling. The company stated that a fix has been implemented and they are awaiting confirmation that the system is back to normal operation.
