Prof. Médard is one of the world’s leading authorities on network coding and communications systems. She is the NEC Chair of Software Science and Engineering at MIT, where she leads the Network Coding and Reliable Communications Group, and has spent over two decades shaping the foundation of today’s digital infrastructure.
Through Optimum, she is building a decentralized memory layer designed to optimize bandwidth and latency across Web3 networks. Her work brings research-grade engineering to real-world blockchain performance challenges.
A member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, the German National Academy of Sciences, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Médard’s presence at #Cosmoverse25 represents a major moment for the convergence of academic excellence and decentralized systems innovation.
