Thanks for chance to highlight sanctions complexity for devs: TC delisting kept Semenov sanctioned as a contributor to (now) delisted code. What is contribution threshold & How to ever get delisted if lack control? For devs, less Golden than BronzeAge: dynamic, complex landscape. twitter.com/m_mosier_/status/1...

Lot of delisting nuance: "Exercised our discretion" = retain flexibility to revisit in some form. Kept Semenov listed for DPRK, just removed CYBER basis. "Committed to enforcing our sanctions" re: "any transactions that may benefit malicious cyber actors or DPRK." Stay safe. twitter.com/m_mosier_/status/1...

“By denying this request, the court has compromised my client’s fundamental right to a fair trial, undermining the principle of equality of arms. In a case where digital evidence forms the basis of the accusations, ensuring equality of arms is crucial,” de Boer added. twitter.com/m_mosier_/status/1...

Earlier American Founders worried (& wrote) about this too: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, & effects, against unreasonable searches & seizures, shall not be violated, & no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause..." 4th Am.

NEW: The FBI is warning that hackers are gaining access to law enforcement and government email addresses to file fraudulent "emergency" data requests with U.S. companies to obtain user data — which is often then used for doxing and financial fraud. https://techcrunch.com/2024/11/08/fbi-says-hackers-are-sending-fraudulent-police-data-requests-to-tech-giants-to-steal-peoples-private-information/…
