Why is MagicBlock the engine of Solana's game cycle?
Recently, Solana Gaming officially interviewed Treki, the founder of Magicblock (@magicblock), who pointed out that Magicblock's technology is one of the core elements of Solana's game ecosystem development. So how exactly does it work?
■ From "Asset On-Chain" to "Logic On-Chain"
In the past, web3 games simply put tokens and NFTs on the blockchain, with the game logic residing on centralized servers. Magicblock, however, represents the rise of full-chain games: by introducing ephemeral rollups, high-frequency interactions during gameplay (such as movement, attack, and pickup) take place in a temporary rollup, not directly written to the Solana mainnet.
This achieves a zero-gas experience and millisecond-level response time, while maintaining a decentralized and modular nature. ■ "Magic Garden" held during Breakpoint
Magic Garden is essentially a hub for developers. Starting with the most basic infrastructure and talent, it aims to promote its high-performance technical architecture and encourage active participation from developers, thereby significantly advancing its technological development.
MagicBlock (@magicblock) showcased not only games through "Magic Garden," but also Solana's ability to handle complex calculations, and its growing importance within the Solana gaming ecosystem.
