It turns out that NetEase Games not only added the Sword and Shield Dog monster character, but also created a character story for it:
- The Sword and Shield Dog is a guardian
- But what exactly it's protecting, no one has seen.
- The Sword and Shield Dog only says one sentence: Don't be afraid, I'll block it!
- It keeps turning other monsters into Sword and Shield Dogs to join the guardian army.
