Last time we discussed the ecosystem applications of USD1, and now there's something new! This time, USD1 has partnered with Aster to officially launch USD1 contract trading pairs. Trading with USD1 on Aster offers a monthly trading reward of up to 2.5 million USD1 (approximately 240,000 USD). Furthermore, placing orders on Aster incurs zero commission, while taking orders incurs only a 0.5% commission, which is significantly more cost-effective than using Aster's own trading platform. After facing a wave of criticism, USD1 launched on-chain "real-time proof of reserves," becoming the first stablecoin to offer real-time disclosure. It's also compliantly custodied by BitGo, a top global custodian, ensuring the security of the underlying assets. Many stablecoins operate on a near-real-time basis, with weekly disclosures and monthly/quarterly audits, resulting in significant information lag. This is not the same as USD1's real-time proof of reserves. Real-time monitoring means that any change in the issuer's funds will immediately trigger an on-chain alert. As long as the on-chain reserves are sufficient, panic will subside.
